The practice offers a fully comprehensive range of dental care services from routine hygiene appointments through to complex restorative treatments with implants.
We can build up a treatment plan which aims to cater for your treatment needs both in the short and long term. Having discussed the various treatment options with you we will follow this up with a written treatment plan quotation of the fees involved and likely time scales.
Fees are renewed annually and fee guides are always available from our reception team.
All the dentists can provide advice and treatment in most disciplines but will refer, if necessary, to the appropriate dentist for specific items of treatment.
Rigorous cross infection control procedures are followed at all times.
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride treatments (eg fluoride mouth rinses, varnishes and gels) help protect teeth against decay and also provide additional protection against acid attacks on the tooth enamel.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment or RCT (also called endodontics) is a treatment required when the blood and nerve supply in a tooth (known as the pulp) becomes infected through dental decay or injury.
Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease refers to chronic inflammatory conditions affecting the tissues that surround and support the teeth within the jaw.
Crowns
Crowns (sometimes referred to as caps) can be made for any tooth. They can be tooth coloured (porcelain, glass or resin), gold or a combination of porcelain fused to metal.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth do naturally darken as we age. Without resorting to more extensive, irreversible treatments such as crowns or veneers, it is often possible to whiten teeth with bleaching techniques.
Bridges
A bridge is a prosthesis that replaces one or more missing teeth. It is permanently fixed into the mouth and uses a tooth or teeth adjacent to the missing tooth or teeth for its support.
Fillings
We have is a range of materials each with different properties and characteristics. Your dentist will be happy to advise you on the most appropriate material for you.
Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment is the technique used for straightening teeth that are out of line. It can be used to close gaps and realign teeth and improve the way teeth bite together.
Veneers
A veneer is a thin coating that is placed over the outer surface of a visible tooth that is generally used to improve its appearance, although occasionally to provide protection to the tooth surface.
Fissure Sealing
The pits and fissures on the back teeth are sealed with a glass/plastic composite. This is done by etching and drying the tooth and then painting the sealant into the cracks on the biting surface of the tooth.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial root, usually made of titanium or a titanium alloy, which can be used to support new crowns or bridgework or to anchor loose dentures.
Hygienists
Our hygienists are a key element to our preventive approach to dentistry and we encourage the majority of our patients to make active use of them.
